How to Remove a Form LL Restriction Permanently

If you have a Form LL restriction on your property title and want to avoid obtaining a Certificate of Compliance every time you sell or remortgage, you can apply to have the restriction permanently removed from the title register. This requires a Form RX3 application to HM Land Registry.

Should You Remove the Restriction or Just Get the Certificate?

Consider carefully: Removing the restriction also removes the fraud protection it provides. For buy to let properties, unoccupied properties and properties owned by people living abroad, this protection is genuinely valuable. Discuss with a specialist before proceeding with removal.
